CHECK OUT THIS WIFE - HANNAH

BACK DROP: I SAMUEL 1: 1-20

HANNAH THE WIFE OF ELKANAH

Dare to be a wife like Hannah!

1. Hannah had a personal burden on her shoulders, but she still made herself loveable. She definitely had other options, but she chose the best path. (V.4)

2. Hannah's rival (the other wife) provoked her severely, but that did not hinder her from going to the house of the Lord. What is that challenge preventing you from seeking God or attending church services/fellowships. Nothing stopped Hannah. Please do not let any thing/person stop you. (Verse 7)

3. Hannah wept bitterly. Actually, it is okay to cry. She did not allow her emotions to keep her down...... after crying, she AROSE!!!! she arose and stepped into the tabernacle. Your weeping has endured enough, it is time to carry your bitterness of soul and anguish before before the Most High God. (verses 9,10)

God heard Hannah.....The Lord will definitely hear your cry. (Verses 19,20)

Hannah did not allow her rival or childlessness to shut her mouth from praying. They were not able to destroy her prayer life. She did not call for a pity party, instead she sought a prayer party. What is trying to suppress/frustrate your prayer life? Arise Praying Wife!!!!

What has stolen/destroyed your prayer life? Dare to be an Hannah..... She was a praying wife indeed..... She is an example for all of us.

CHECK OUT THIS WIFE - ZERESH

Check out this wife!

Zeresh - Wife of Haaman in the book of Esther.

Text: Esther 5:14

“Then his wife Zeresh and all his friends said to him, “Let a gallows be made, fifty cubits high, and in the morning suggest to the king that Mordecai be hanged on it; then go merrily with the king to the banquet.” And the thing pleased Haman; so he had the gallows made.

Haaman exhibited pride and anger, but his wife did not deem it fit to help him out of these ungodly manifestations in love. Instead she fueled the pride/anger and encouraged her husband to dig a gallow to hang Mordecai. She provided an evil counsel that led to the destruction of her husband.

Zeresh was selfish, mindless, materialistic and proud. She lacked wisdom, knowledge and understanding. She brought destruction upon her husband, and was not a help meet, as the bible instructs a wife to be.

Esther 7:9-10

Now Harbonah, one of the eunuchs, said to the king, “Look! The gallows, fifty cubits high, which Haman made for Mordecai, who spoke good on the king’s behalf, is standing at the house of Haman.” Then the king said, “Hang him on it!”

What kind of wife are you? Learn from Zeresh.

Ask the Lord to help you in Jesus name.

Praying Wife 11/2012.

MORE OF JESUS AND LESS OF ME.

Posted by prayingwife on December 1, 2009 at 12:59 AM Comments comments (6)

Dear praying wife,

The theme for this month is: More of Jesus and less of me.

John 3:30 says,He must increase, but I must decrease.

I pray that the Lord will grant us the grace to decrease, while the Christ in us will be visible to all men to see.

The big thing about December is the Chrismas, the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As a wife, as you celebrate this season, please do not leave out the celebrant - Jesus christ. Ask Him to stamp His image in your heart.Once you have His image upon you, you can then stamp it upon every member of you household beginning from your husband.

Is your husband far from God? Then he needs the stamp of Jesus Christ upon his heart. The easiest and fastest way to get the stamp is through you his wife.Do you shine as light in your home? The more you shine, the less activity of the enemy in your home/marriage. The less you shine, the more activity of the enemy in your home/marriage. Shine praying wife shine!

Esther4:16b says, And so I will go to the king, which is against the law,and if I perish, I perish. Esther was selfless to bring about the will of God to pass concerning the Jews; Are you selfless bringing about the will of God to pass in the life of your husband/entire household? Do you pray and fast to stand in the gap for your household? Answer sincerely, is it all about you, you, you and you?

As you enjoy the season, let it be more of Jesus; this simply means more time spent studying your bible, more time praying, more time worshipping, more time working for the Lord in your local church, more time spent in evangelism, more time praying with your husband/household etc

The light in you through "More of Jesus" is able to overcome every dark/heavy cloud in your marrige/home.

I beg you in the name of Jesus to rededicate your committment to Christ.

Let you prayer be " Create in me a clean heart O God, and renew a stedfast Spirit within me in Jesus name"

Keep being a praying wife.

SECRET OF PROFITING.

Posted by prayingwife on October 31, 2009 at 12:10 AM Comments comments (0)

THE PROFITING EQUATION = 1 TIMOTHY 6:6

1 Timothy 6:6 says, Now godliness with contentment is great gain.

1 Timothy 6:7 says, For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

Godliness + Contentment  = Profiting

Where,

Godliness = Your sincere/faithful work with God

Contentment = A sense of inward sufficiency

Profiting = Great and abundant gain.

P.S  Some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through many sorrows.

LET'S BE WISE, BEWARE OF RIVALRY/COMPETATIVE  SPIRIT.

Be an example...Be an Esther!

ARE YOU AN EXAMPLE?

Posted by prayingwife on October 30, 2009 at 1:09 AM Comments comments (0)

I also asked myself this question, be very sincere about your answer.

Are you an example to believers and unbelievers alike? Most of us are examples only in words, we need to be examples also in:

1. Conduct: The way we behave towards other people.

2. Love: Our warm affection or devotion.

3. Spirit: Our worship and intimacy with God.

4. Faith: Our complete confidence in God.

5. Purity: Our state of being unsullied( spotlessly clean and fresh) by sin or moral wrong.

You are the living bible your husband and friends would read!

BE AN EXAMPLE!

THE WILDERNESS EXPERIENCE

Posted by prayingwife on September 29, 2009 at 4:27 PM Comments comments (6)

INSPIRATION FROM 1 CORINTHIANS 10:9-11

"Nor let us tempt christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed by the serpents, nor complain as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer"

The wilderness is not a pleasant place to be, it can also be called the desert. It is a dry and lonely place to be. You feel all alone, and you almost think you are the only person in the whole world. You get so tired and weak, no water to drink, and hardly anyone to talk with. You keep moving on, thinking you are almost at the end, thinking the green pasture is just a few miles ahead, only to find out you are right in the middle of the desert, and your green pasture is no where close.

There are situations in our life that that can be described as the wilderness experience, the Lord is instructing you today that it is not a place to be tempted, or a place to complain.  The truth is that the situation around you will make you so vulnerably to temptation or even complaining.  The scripture you read above suggest to me that these will lead to destruction.  The Lord  does not intend to destroy you in the wilderness, He intends to bring you out a better person, with great testimonies that will edify the body of christ. Job's Situation was unpleasant, but today, he is a testimony.

Child of God, do not complain, murmur or be tempted when you marriage, your home are being threatened. Do not be tempted to start seeing another man besides your husband because you are not getting all the attention you deserve.........this simply leads to destruction. As you seek God in you wilderness, and give God a sacrifice of praise,( I call it a sacrifice, because you may really not feel like praising God) He will make a way out of the wilderness to your green pasture.

Always remember the devil(serpent) is out to destroy you in your wilderness, I beg you in the name of God, DO NOT LET HIM!

Verse 13 Say, NO TEMPTATION HAS OVERTAKEN YOU EXCEPT SUCH AS IS COMMON TO MAN; BUT GOD IS FAITHFUL WHO WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO BE TEMPTED BEYOND WHAT YOU ARE ABLE, BUT WITH THE TEMPTATION WILL ALSO MAKE A WAY OF ESCAPE, THAT YOU MAY BE ABLE TO BEAR IT.

Daughter of God, the Almighty God who sits in heaven, who is ever faithful is making a way of ESCAPE out of your wilderness in Jesus name. He is turning the "Mess" in your home/marriage to a "Message" for the world.

Most of all, in the wilderness; do not be weary in prayer, for in prayer lies your strength.

YOU HAVE SUFFERD ENOUGH; IT'S TIME TO SETTLE YOU!

Posted by prayingwife on September 16, 2009 at 9:40 AM Comments comments (16)

BE BLESSED AS YOU READ IN JESUS NAME.

And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace [who imparts all blessing and favor], who has called you to His [own] eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will Himself complete and make you what you ought to be, ESTABLISH and ground you SECURELY, and STRENGTHEN, and SETTLE you. 1 Pet.5:10(Ampl)

You have been in this situation for some time now, and you have suffered a particluar unfavorable and unpalatable condition. You have prayed, you have fasted, you have waited and cried unto the Lord and it looks as if God has turned His back on you. This also has raised great questions in your heart. But I have got great news for you.

Your pain and suffering has just come to an end. The Lord says to you, Your suffering was just for a little while and by reason of His own WORD, it is now finished. It is over. I have brought it to an end. It is over with that recurrent affliction. It is over with that unexplained nagging pain and financial difficulties that defied all solution.

The Lord also says, I am the God of all grace and I am making it available to you. I am imparting blessing and favor that you need for this new season of your life. I have called you into My eternal GLORY. I will complete that which I started in your life and it will not be interrupted again. There is an image I have of you in My throne, and that is what you ought to be; nothing can change it anymore. I will also ESTABLISH you and ground you SECURELY in the foundation of my love and purpose for your life. And above all, because I have already paid the price for you, I will STRENGTHEN you and like Solomon SETTLE you. I will restore to you all that you have lost all these years. Because you have suffered enough and it is now time to settle you my child says the Lord.

God bless you and stay connected.

I WILL REMEMBER!

INSPIRATION FROM PSALM 77:10-20.

Are you troubled? Are you discouraged? Are you afraid? God wants you to remember or rather bring back to memory all the little or great things He had done for you earlier.

A time when you lost your job and you thought it was over, yet God made a way for you.

A time when doctors said you had a terminal disease, yet the Lord gave you a second chance to live.

A time when you didn't have a dime in your pocket, yet God put food on your table and your family didn't have die of hunger.

A time when you thought you would remain a single lady forever, yet God brought the most charming man your way, who is now your husband.

A time when you thought you will remain barren all the days of your life, yet despite all the doctors had said, your home is now filled with joyful children.

The psalmist remembered when the Lord delivered the children of Isreal from Egypt, He made a way in the Red sea, and they walked on the dry ground.

The Lord is crying out to you today:

REMEMBER! REMEMBER! REMEMBER!

Despite all you are going through right now, or what you had gone through in the past, If the Lord had done it before, He will do it again. Always comfort yourself with the consoling memory of God's redemptive works.

GUILTY! BUT CAN STILL BE USED OF GOD.

Posted by prayingwife on April 29, 2009 at 4:35 PM Comments comments (3)

INSPIRATION FROM LUKE 8:1-3.

Now it came to pass, afterward, that He went through every city and village, preaching and bringing the glad tiding of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with Him, and certain women who had being healed of evil spirits and infirmities - Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had seven demons, and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others who provided for Him from their substance.

Are you a praying wife, but think you cannot be used by God because you had a HORRIBLE PAST? That is a lie from the pit of Hell.

I am not talking about being a believer, but being greatly used by God in this generation ( A GREAT WOMAN OF GOD)

All the time, we focus on the twelve disciples, but we also had women that walked with Jesus- Mary Magdalene, Joanna and Susanna.

Their Resume:

MARY-  She was demon possessed - ( She had seven demons)

JOANNA - Wife of Chuza, Herod's steward.- ( Herod instructed the men to behead John the baptist)

SUSANNA - Also was healed of evil spirit and infirmities.

Despite their resume, Jesus still accepted them, talked with them, and walked with them.

He will accept you too.

They were women that became committed to Jesus Ministry. They provided for Jesus with their substance. They served, they ministered and the gave to His ministry.

Please do not be held down by the guilt of your past, you can be a Mary, a Joanna or a Susanna. Silence every noise from the pit of Hell, and go serve your Maker.

Keep being a praying wife.

WHAT FRUIT DO YOU BEAR?

Posted by prayingwife on April 4, 2009 at 2:09 AM Comments comments (9)

INSPIRED BY MATTHEW 12:33.

When you see some trees around, sometimes you can't really tell what kind of trees they are untill you see the fruits, then you can say with confidence it is a mango tree or an orange tree. The fruit gives all the clue needed to determine what tree it is.

Matthew 12:33 says, Either make the tree good and it's fruit good, or else make the tree bad and it's fruit bad; FOR A TREE IS KNOWN BY IT'S FRUIT.

Ask yourself this sincere question, what fruit do you bear? The fruit you bear is exactly who you are; that is the real YOU.

What are the things you say when no one is watching? That is the real you.

Matthew12:34b says, For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Your heart is the dictationary that gives meaning to your words. what do you have in this dictionary?

Always remember that on the last day, you will give account of  every idle word.

Matthew 12:37 says, For by your word you will be justified, and by your word you will be condemned.

Wives, let your words which are the friuts you bear justify you today.

Galatians 5:22 says, But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsffering, kindness, goodness, faithful, gentleness, self-control; against such there is no law.

Receive grace and strength to bear good fruits in Jesus name.
