BACK DROP: I SAMUEL 1: 1-20
HANNAH THE WIFE OF ELKANAH
Dare to be a wife like Hannah!
1. Hannah had a personal burden on her shoulders, but she still made herself loveable. She definitely had other options, but she chose the best path. (V.4)
2. Hannah's rival (the other wife) provoked her severely, but that did not hinder her from going to the house of the Lord. What is that challenge preventing you from seeking God or attending church services/fellowships. Nothing stopped Hannah. Please do not let any thing/person stop you. (Verse 7)
3. Hannah wept bitterly. Actually, it is okay to cry. She did not allow her emotions to keep her down...... after crying, she AROSE!!!! she arose and stepped into the tabernacle. Your weeping has endured enough, it is time to carry your bitterness of soul and anguish before before the Most High God. (verses 9,10)
God heard Hannah.....The Lord will definitely hear your cry. (Verses 19,20)
Hannah did not allow her rival or childlessness to shut her mouth from praying. They were not able to destroy her prayer life. She did not call for a pity party, instead she sought a prayer party. What is trying to suppress/frustrate your prayer life? Arise Praying Wife!!!!
What has stolen/destroyed your prayer life? Dare to be an Hannah..... She was a praying wife indeed..... She is an example for all of us.
